Science Week Talk
Rob got asked to do a talk to school children about how science is a part of our work. Often architecture is perceived as purely arts and creativity but the science aspect is hugely important. We talked about the obvious things like structures and thermodynamics, but also the less obvious like the social sciences of how we subconsciously read, feel and understand spaces. We did some fun demonstrations of things like how shapes provide strength and how breathable membranes keep water out but let vapour through. It was a really enjoyable opportunity to speak and the kids were amazing, so keen to listen and learn.
