Information That We Collect

Hive Architects Studio Ltd. processes your personal information to meet our legal, statutory and contractual obligations and to provide you with our products and services. We will never collect any unnecessary personal data from you and do not process your information in any way, other than already specified in this notice.

We never collect personal data from any publicly available sources or data brokers

How We Use Your Personal Data

Hive Architects Studio Ltd. takes your privacy very seriously and will never disclosure, share or sell your data without your consent, unless required to do so by law. We only retain your data for as long as is necessary and for the purposes specified in this notice. Where you have consented to us providing you with promotional offers and marketing, you are free to withdraw consent at any time.  The purposes and reasons for processing your personal data are detailed below: –

  • Online Form – headed “Enquiry” – Legitimate Interest

We will only use the personal data provided in order to reply to your message. We will not add you to any mailing database, nor send you any emails not directly related to the subject of the original enquiry or subsequent enquiries. We will never share this data with 3rd parties.

  • Client Data – Performance of a contract

In our day to day activities with clients we will collect data which we need in order to fulfill our contractual requirements.

  • Accounts – Legal Obligation

We use Bennett Verby Accountants Ltd. to do our bookkeeping and tax returns and they act in the capacity of both controller and processor on our behalf. The only information we provide them with are project references and bank statements which show payment details to meet business and legal requirements.

  • 3rd party contractors

We use a wide range of other consultants such as engineers, surveyors to provide related information relevant to projects. Details passed on are limited to project requirements. Personal information must be provided by you directly.

  • Previous work/clients

We collect and store your personal data as part of our duty for professional conduct under legitimate Interests should you later require further works or information on work completed previously. This information is subject to our retention schedules.

How Long We Keep Your Data

Hive Architects Studio Ltd.  only ever retains personal information for as long as is necessary and we have strict review and retention policies in place to meet these obligations. We are required under tax law to keep/ your basic personal data (name, address, contact details) for a minimum of 6 years after which time it will be destroyed.

We will retain archived project details for length of any warranty or certificate we provide and up to 6 years for other cases in case you need to return for further works, however you can ask for your personal data attached to this to be destroyed / removed.

Special Categories Data

We only normally collect sensitive personal data in relation to staff. In the event you provide us with any sensitive personal data, we will take extra care to ensure your rights are protected, and ensure that we receive explicit consent in regard to this.

Marketing & Promotions

With your permission, we use personal information to market and promote our services to you. We will ask you to ‘opt in’ to marketing communications at the time of inception or when we change our Terms of Engagement.
